At the Zoo

Took the family to the Indianapolis Zoo yesterday.  We go a couple times a year and Ransom always enjoys it, but this was the first time Salem was able to go and actually have fun as well.

  1. You're family is precious, Joe. What a delightful video and song combination.

  3. I'm sure they will adore it. I am real bad about not recording stuff ... but I have been keeping a journal of all the super creative things my kids say. Also - Missouri (my daughter) is obsessed with the Victor drawings you did for MRT. She told her teacher that Victor is her imaginary friend and they like to play pranks on the kids in the playground. I am happy with her choices in life.

  5. Thanks! We love it. Once a lady at the store asked, "Missouri, like the state?" Missouri answered, "No. Like the president." I laughed. The lady was not amused.
Sooo is Ransom from Out The Silent Planet?

  6. Little smarty.

I know the name from the books, but one of my wife's great relatives was a Ransom. Not sure what convinced us to use that name, but I am happy that my son shares it with the honorable character Lewis created. He's the quintessential good guy. Hopefully my Ransom will grow up with that kind of integrity and character.

  7. That's fantastic. Missouri is, oddly enough, a family name too. I was pretty excited when Doug was keen to go along with it. Yey for neat kid names and agreeable spouses! And I am certain your boys will be full of character and integrity. They sound like great little guys.
