Buck O'Hare Repaints: Blinky & Al Negator

Since last summer I've been looking into getting a hold of the the Bucky O'Hare toy line from the early 90's. I vaguely remember the cartoon as a kid, but I never had any of the figures.  A few weeks back I gave in and have been seeking them out. Here are my first two repaints, Al Negator and **A.F.C. Blinky.

  1. That Blinky's one of the best repaints I've ever seen!

I DID grow up loving the Bucky O'Hare cartoon, toys and comics, so'm getting an extra-large kick out of these ones.

    1. Thanks man!! They are really fun figures to paint. I don't know how I missed out on them when I was a kid. I would like to track down the comics as well.

  2. There's some fairly big differences between the comics and the cartoon - the comic's darker, but the cartoon's more consistent with its "universe" continuity - so the best thing to do'd be to consume everything Bucky-related that you can!

    1. Damn. I almost ordered the trade the other day but decided not to. Wish I would have snatched it up. I'll look for another copy. I know I can watch the cartoon on YouTube. Going to have to do that. Thanks. Next up on the painting block is the monkey, toad robot, and then Bucky. Not sure I'll repaint the dog, boy, or other two toad characters. Going for some Earth Worm Jim figures next, and then back to the Turtle toys.

  3. Looking forward to it! Not going to bother with Deadeye, the four-armed duck?

  4. I have him, and he is definitely one of my favorite figures, but I like the way he looks. He is a very cartoony sculpt, so I think the colors match him pretty well. Still thinking about it. Going to try to paint Wingnut and Screwloose from TMNT today; one of my favorite figures of all time.

  5. Ohmigosh! These repaints look fantastic! I'm amazed by how detailed repainted Blinky's eye is.
